Makeup Revolution HD Pro Strobe Revolution Set

I'm so excited about this review. I have been wanting to do a review on it for a while, however it was limited edition at the time I bought it. However, I received an email this week announcing that it had been launched this week. The product is the Makeup Revolution HD Pro Strobe Revolution.

The BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Moonstone

I have achieved a major highlighting goal: to own a BECCA highlighter! Ever since writing my highlighter post I have been itching to go out and find a new highlighter. With all the buzz that surrounds the BECCA highlighters ,  I decided that I would try them out.

Revlon PhotoReady Skinlights in Pink Light

I'm all about the highlighter: the shinier the better! If you've seen my post all about my highlighters then you'll know that all but one of my highlighters is a powder. To be honest, I'm kind of afraid of liquid highlighters. I'm not really sure the best way to use them without turning my makeup streaky. Thus, I challenged myself to find a way! My poor Revlon PhotoReady Skinlights was getting neglected at the back of my drawer.

Autumnal Illamasqua Haul

Autumn is fast approaching, I believe September 22nd is the official seasonal change. I've decided to be proactive with my Autumnal makeup update. I went to my one stop makeup shop, aka the makeup heaven that is Tk Maxx, and they had just received a huge Illamasqua shipment. My reach into Illamsasqau has been quite limited, mainly their amazing nail varnishes, and I could not wait to get my hands on some new products.

The Bloggers Made Me Do It! Mary Lou Manizer

The second in my 'The Bloggers Made Me Do It!' series: Mary Lou Manizer, the Queen of all highlighters. The Mary Lou Manizer is definitely a firm favourite of mine, I pick it up more than any other highlighter in my collection. It's not hard to see how important highlighters have become in a makeup routine. Recent makeup trends now revolve around 'strobing' and creating a glowy, luminous base. Highlighters are a firm forefront runner of the makeup world. When I first started getting into makeup, highlighters were really not a big thing. But now they are the must have products!

Barry M Get Up & Glow

I really love the quality to Barry M Nail Paints; I think they are one of the best quality to be found in the drugstore. I thought I'd branch out into their other products and see if they are just as good. I picked up the Barry M Get Up & Glow Palette back in December as a free gift with purchase. It is a bronzer, blusher and highlighter palette which I think is very on trend right now. Lots of different brands have, or are coming out with, palettes such as this.

Skin Kissed by the Goddess of Love

I am sooo sorry; please forgive me! I had no intention of being absent for nearly TWO MONTHS! I just got so busy with University and other stuff that the blog fell to the wayside. I had assignments practically every week and then I started to have three rehearsals a week for the musical I was in. It just seemed like I never had a down moment! Needless to say that I am back and ready to roll. I have one week left of University classes and then I'm off for around five months :) Anyway moving on to the good stuff...

Makeup Revolution GO! Palette

Cast your minds way, way back to Black Friday. You may remember that Makeup Revolution were giving away £25 worth of products for free. This was one of the goodies that came in that package!

DIY Kitty Halloween Tutorial

The time for Halloween is quickly approaching! While guaranteed, Halloween is not as popular in Britain as it is across the pond, it can quickly turn into a major social event. Where I live it is used as more of a chance for the students to let go midterm and have a great big party. The party at the student union is LEGENDARY! In spirit of the upcoming events I'm going to run a series of different looks that can be created through the use of everyday makeup (no fancy face paints for me, no siree). The first look I wanted to try was the traditional Halloween kitty cat. At any party it can be guaranteed that at least a quarter of the people there will chose this. As I am a 'cat-person' it would always be my first choice.

Getting ready: Freshers Initiations

So, this evening I'm heading out to my university society's freshers initiations; a time when all of the group 'oldies' get the 'newbies' totally intoxicated and playing silly games. Now, I am not a big drinky-poo person and so will only be having a couple. This leads to me playing the person who takes the photos and makes sure no one collapses from alcohol poisoning. As my 'official' title is that of 'glamorous assistant'...
