I'm so excited about this review. I have been wanting to do a review on it for a while, however it was limited edition at the time I bought it. However, I received an email this week announcing that it had been launched this week. The product is the Makeup Revolution HD Pro Strobe Revolution.
When I purchased my Makeup Revolution HD Pro Strobe Revolution it came as part of a limited edition Holiday set. The set contained four items: the HD Pro Strobe Palette, Pro Strobe Brush, Pro HD Lights Brush, and a Strobe Stick.
The HD Pro Strobe Revolution Palette was the main feature of the set. The palette consists of four medium sized highlighters, in a mixture of both cream and powder formulas. The palette leans more towards a cooler undertone, with just one exception. Those that remember Makeup Revolution releasing their Ultra Strobe Balms, will recognise the two strobing creams in the palette. To the left is the Ultra Strobe Balm in Euphoria, which has a pinky-purple iridescence effect. To the right is the Ultra Strobe Balm in Hypnotic, which has a cool pale yellow iridescence to it. The two powder highlighters in the palette, unfortunately, have no names, which I really don't like. The pink highlighter is very much what I'm normally drawn to, it's a pink shade and also quite subtle. On the other hand, the peach highlighter shows up to be a little too orange and dark for my skin tone to be a suitable highlighter. It may work well on my eyes, I'll have to try it out in the future.
The two brushes that came in the set, the Pro Strobe Brush and the Pro HD Lights Brush, are very visually pretty! Creamy coloured handles, rose gold ferrules, and ombre light pink bristles. They definitely stand out in my brush pots, to say the least. The bristles feel very soft against my face; very comparable to my brushes from Real Techniques and BH Cosmetics. The Pro Strobe Brush is very full and round-topped, while the Pro HD Lights Brush is a little less full and flat topped.
The last item that was contained within the set was the Strobe Stick. I originally thought that this was a completely new colour of strobing cream, but after swatching the Ultra Strobe Cream in Hypnotic, I can see that they are the same. The Strobe Stick makes it so much easier to travel around in my makeup bag, rather than having to carry around the whole palette.
While the entire set was limited edition, you can now buy the HD Pro Strobe Revolution Palette on the TAM Beauty website. The Pro Strobe Balms, Euphoria and Hypnotic, are also available as single products and the brushes are now sold as a full set called the Iconic Nudes Collection.
How amazing are the Makeup Revolution products? Every week it seems like Makeup Revolution are releasing new products, and they are just getting better and better.
