Zoo trip! Zoo trip!




 So I took a trip to Edinburgh Zoo last week, just a little day trip. This is just a little photo post of some of my favourite parts!
                         
             
          




The weather was fairly chilled and quite windy, which is practically the norm here in Scotland. I think the dismal weather caused most of the animals to be in their indoor enclosures, and to be sleeping. I also thought it would be a good idea to leave my hair down; I spent the majority of the trip eating, and being blinded by, HAIR!




I did enjoy the animatronic dinosaurs! It was something so different to what special evens hat h zoo usually hosts. I'm not sure whether the event was to coincide with the release of 'Jurassic World', or if it was stand alone. It really set my mind up for going to the Jurassic section of Universal Studios, Orlando, and seeing the new completely mobile animatronic there.






There were also a lot of young animals at the zoo too! Meerkats, penguins, monkeys, banteng etc. There were all so cute; especially the fluffy penguins!

It's getting to the time of year when  people start gathering together all there gifts in the rush to the holiday season. They start trying to get the best gifts possible for the best price they can. Unfortunately that leaves them vulnerable for people to take advantage of them. Totally Fabby MAC Lipstick!

I'm in the middle of shopping for new products; sort of preparing for the transition from winter to spring. Instead of picking up deep burgundies and warm chocolates, I have started to pick up pastel pinks and vanillas. I cannot wait of the warmer weather to roll in.  MAC frost lipstick in the shade Fabby was one of those new seasonal additions I picked up recently. Fabby is a really muted rosy pink shade with a frost finish. The draw point, for me, is the frost sheen gives kind of a golden overlay to the lips. The golden tone just adds an extra dimension, and helps brighten up any makeup look.  For being a frost finish, the colour pigmentation is quite opaque with a single swipe. The texture is not that creamy, and I don't mean that in a bad way. I'd describe it more as very similar to that of a MAC matte finish; creamy and not glossy. I feel that Fabby is one of MACs more overlooked shades; passed over in favour of the more hyped about lipstic...

Barry M Colour Changing Lip Paint in Neptune

Remember way, way back, back to the very beginning of my blog. One of the very first products that I reviewed was the Barry M Lip Paint in the shade Genie. For those who don't know, Genie is an unusual colour changing lipstick. While it looks green in the tube, it turns a shade of pink on the lips that is supposed to be different for each person. It is supposed to be a result of the lipstick reacting to the alkaline level of the lips.
