I had heard of Bite Beauty a few times prior to my trip, but it wasn't something I was super familiar with. Their lipsticks contain food-grade ingredients which makes them, theoretically, perfectly fine to eat. Though to be fair, if you spend $24 on a lipstick you are hardly going to eat it.
The colour is a super deep, almost blackened burgundy red; it almost appears black in the tube at times. The pigmentation is a medium sheer which, if you want the true colour payoff, the you have to layer a bit. If worn sheered out, then the colour is much more just deep burgundy red coloured. For a matte creme lipstick, it has a very glossy sheen to it. When it fades away it leaves behind a stain, which just hints at the colour it used to be.
How scary does it look?! Honestly I was a bit scared at first that it would end up being too dark for me. With Elderberry being such a rich and deep colour, expert precision must be taken when applying. Any faults or imperfections are very obvious with such a lipstick. I use a dark lipliner to outline and fill in the lips before hand.
I totally in love with this lipstick, but I'm sad that I can only really realistically wear it during the colder months. I'm maybe have to find a way to make it work during summer.
How do you feel about the brand Bite Beauty? Admittedly I still don't know much about them...
