I'm in a bit of a nail slump here, my nails are naturally all chipped, peeled and grotesque. I'm so close to packing it all in and chopping them all off. Until that time, though, I have been using the Sensationail at home gel kit to strengthen them and make them look less ugly. My favourite method, and probably not the best, is to use the clear base/top coat as normal, but add normal nail polishes on top. My nails are not as strong as a proper gel manicure, but by using acetone-free remover I can change the colours when ever I feel like it.
I've really been drawn towards the Nail Colour in 'Cover Me With Petals' from the old Sephora by OPI collection. It jumps out to me every time I raid my nail polish drawer. The colour is the most intense, vibrant neon coral red shade that I have ever seen. It has to also be one of the more unique shades I own, as I have yet to find a dupe for it. It doesn't even come across on camera how neon and bright it truly is.
The formula, however, is not as great as the other Sephora by OPI Nail Colours that I have tried. Despite my nails having three coats on them, if you look super closely you'll see that there are some streaks and dark patches were the polish is not even. From far away though, you can't tell there is anything wrong with them.
I think that this has great potential to be one of my summer colours, what with being so poppy and bright! I'd maybe try four coats and see if that diminished the unevenness on the nails.
What is your favourite neon nail polish for Spring and Summer?
