Birchbox is here again! After my mixed feelings of last months box, I decided to let my subscription roll over another month. I just so badly want a subscription box and Birchbox seems to be one of the most popular; I just want it to work.
This month was the Birchbox x Papier collaboration. Birchbox subscribers got to choose which Papier design decorated the outside of their boxes, either a white/green or a red/navy foliage print. Subscribers also got to choose if they wanted to pay a little bit extra and received a matching Papier notebook. Contained within my box was two full sized and three sample products. Let's strat with the things I did enjoy. The first that caught my eye was the sneak peak for the February Box.
I was very much impressed with the Spectrum Collections 'Marbelious' C06 Tulip Eye Contour Brush, which is also a mouthful for a brush name. I always enjoy new brushes, but this one was especially cute. The combination of white and rose gold is my thing.
I also really liked the POP Beauty Bright Up Your Life Eyeshadow Trio in Champagne Mocha. Birchbox described this as one of the sample products because the fullsize consists of ten eyeshadows, but I would have accepted this as being a full sized product. The shadows are soft, super pigmented and in colours that I would wear every day. Actually, they remind me of some of the shadows in the Urban Decay Naked Palette.
Now, if you know me then you know I love a good sheet mask. The Keeome Hydration Therapy Mask was included in this months box. I can't really say how it performs because I'm saving it for the moment. But Birchbox gets a thumbs up purely for including it in the box.
I'm sitting on the fence with the Beaver Professional Daily Conditioning Spray. As the name implies, it is supposed to add mosture into the hair. I have tried it a handful of times and it's been great on my hiar, but the last time I used it my hair looked a bit greasy. I'm unsure if I maybe just used a bit too much. I've been hesitant to try it again.
The Vasanti Brighten Up! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator, I did enjoy. I love exfoliating cleasners, with their scrubby bits. This is sulphate free, paraben free and vegan friendly. But I feel like my little tube came half empty. I squeezed over half the tube before it gave me any product, but maybe that's the norm.
Overall, I'd say this February Box was so much better than last months. I enjoyed much more of the products included, than last months. The sneakpeak for March was that each box will contain a sample of the new Benefit They're Real! Double The Lip. Each subscriber will be allowed to choose between Lusty Rose and Pink Thrills. I have picked Pink Thrills as it is the brighter of the two, and go big or go home right?
