June Favourites

It's the end of the month, which means that it time for June Favourites!

Summer Essentials

With a heatwave expected in Scotland this week, I though I'd take the chance to talk about some of my summer essentials that become my absolute staple products.

Striking Silhouette

Contrary to what my Instagram shows; there are actually days where I do not paint my nails with Disney themes. Sometimes I like to have a more understated and elegant look, which is when I paint this style. It's simple, but looks like it has taken me a fair bit of time to complete!

Super Chocolately Nutella Mug Cake

I had a craving for something seriously chocolate cake yesterday, and was very sad upon seeing absolutely no chocolate in my cupboards. I realised that I had ingredients for baking cakes of ever kind, which is what prompted me in the direction of  mug cakes. Nutella Mug Cake

Zoo trip! Zoo trip!

So I took a trip to Edinburgh Zoo last week, just a little day trip. This is just a little photo post of some of my favourite parts!

Get Ready with me: Summer Party

I thought I'd do another get ready with me; the first for this year! I was going to an outdoorsy summer party which I thought would be a fun 'subject', as such. I kept my face makeup very simple: L'Oreal True Match foundation; Makeup Revolution Blushing Heart Blusher; Essence Make Brows Wow! Kit; Benefit Boi-ing concealer, and bareMinerals Mineral Veil. The look was finishes with my MAC cremesheen lipstick in Creme Cup; which was very subtle as to now drag attention from they eyes.

First Impression - Formula X Shifter 'Iconic'

I nearly walked past this beauty before I realised what it actually was! Formula X is the Sephora brand nail polish, obviously only available at Sephora stores. I could have waited until I went to Florida this August, but it was only £1 which made it cheaper than if bought out of Sephora.

Haulin' Haulin' Haulin'

I once again broke my spending ban...oops! I recently developed a small dry patch on the skin just directly under my eye. I hadn't changed any of my normal, everyday products so I thought there was a possibility of it being my Benefit Boi-ing being the troublemaker. I've had it for roughly eight months so it has perhaps seen better days. This led to me deciding to try a new concealer and see if my condition changed.

Under the Sea...

A new day dawns and with it comes another set of Disney nails.

Liebster Award

While this is technically my second nomination for the Liebster Award; it is my nomination from Kayleigh over at Hazelnut Musings that I am accepting. The rules of the Liebster Award stand as: Thank the person who nominated you and link to their blog. Answer the set questions provided to you by your nominator. Nominate an link to ten bloggers; especially those with less than 200 followers. Create a new list of ten questions to be passed on to your nominees.

We're All Mad Here

Super cute Alice in Wonderland nail art inspired by the Cheshire cat. Any Cheshire Cat inspired nails have to have the iconic pink and purple swirled stripes; it's just like a must. Another iconic part that I had to include was the cheeky half moon grin; it used to give me the creeps when I was younger.

Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in #220 Showy

Believe it or not but I'm not usually one for big bold, bright lip colours. I sometimes feel like I'm not confident to pull them off. This all changed when I laid eyes on the Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in the shade #220 Showy. It was just screaming 'BUY ME!' The first two things that hit me about this particular one were; colour and smell. The colour is a very bright bubblegum, barbie pink which is very much blue toned. The packing makes it seem like it would be a bit more warmer toned than what it actually is. The smell is this amazing minty peppermint that just floods the air when I take the cap off the stick. I love peppermint. I leaves me feeling so fresh and bright after applying this.

Simple Summer Flower

I've been working around with a lot of different nail designs recently that I thought I'd share with you all. This design is are recent favourite! The design is so easy to do, which makes it quick to apply when I'm in a hurry. The bright orange and yellow are what makes it so summery, though the colours can easily be swapped out for what ever your liking at the time.

New Favourite Lipstick

I bought a new MAC Lippie! Then again that's no surprise, I can't go any longer than a couple of weeks without splurging. It's a problem I need cured of...
