We're All Mad Here

Super cute Alice in Wonderland nail art inspired by the Cheshire cat.

Any Cheshire Cat inspired nails have to have the iconic pink and purple swirled stripes; it's just like a must. Another iconic part that I had to include was the cheeky half moon grin; it used to give me the creeps when I was younger.

The polishes that I used for this look were:

Models Own 'Dinky Pinky' which is a bright fuchsia pink. I think the shade pulls more towards having a blue, cool undertone to it. Models Own polishes are super good; they are long lasting and glossy. I used two coats of this as the base before the details.

Sephora by OPI 'Ms. Can't Be Wrong' is a purple plum shade that has tiny little micro glitter interspersed within that shines fuchsia. It's more pink and warm toned than I thought that it would be on the nails. I thought that it would be a perfect match to 'Dinky Pinky'.

Models Own 'Banana Split' was used for the Cheshire Cats eyes, Barry M Nail Paint in 'Black' and Collection Nail Polish in 'White Out' were used for the small details.

As date of my Walt Disney World holiday get closer, I get more and more Disney obsessed; like my perfect day is watching Disney movies, planning my holiday etc. It doesn't help I'm  summer break with noting important to do!

Tell me what yo think? Expect more Disney nail art in the coming days!

MAC: Fraud or Not?

It's getting to the time of year when  people start gathering together all there gifts in the rush to the holiday season. They start trying to get the best gifts possible for the best price they can. Unfortunately that leaves them vulnerable for people to take advantage of them. The most common form of this is through the use of counterfeit goods.  Recently a MAC lipstick was purchased for me, as a Christmas gift, from eBay. When I learned of it I was immediately sceptical and dubious of how genuine it was; I like to research into the item and view the pictures available myself. When I checked the listing, the lipstick was listed as 'MAC Amplified Creme Lipstick'. Upon looking at the details and the images available, I noticed that there were very few specifics and one general image of the lipstick with the lid off. I immediately wrote to the seller asking for pictures of the bottom label on the box and the lipstick tube (Well as details such as finish and shade). I kn

Barry M Colour Changing Lip Paint in Neptune

Remember way, way back, back to the very beginning of my blog. One of the very first products that I reviewed was the Barry M Lip Paint in the shade Genie. For those who don't know, Genie is an unusual colour changing lipstick. While it looks green in the tube, it turns a shade of pink on the lips that is supposed to be different for each person. It is supposed to be a result of the lipstick reacting to the alkaline level of the lips.

Totally Fabby MAC Lipstick!

I'm in the middle of shopping for new products; sort of preparing for the transition from winter to spring. Instead of picking up deep burgundies and warm chocolates, I have started to pick up pastel pinks and vanillas. I cannot wait of the warmer weather to roll in.  MAC frost lipstick in the shade Fabby was one of those new seasonal additions I picked up recently. Fabby is a really muted rosy pink shade with a frost finish. The draw point, for me, is the frost sheen gives kind of a golden overlay to the lips. The golden tone just adds an extra dimension, and helps brighten up any makeup look.  For being a frost finish, the colour pigmentation is quite opaque with a single swipe. The texture is not that creamy, and I don't mean that in a bad way. I'd describe it more as very similar to that of a MAC matte finish; creamy and not glossy. I feel that Fabby is one of MACs more overlooked shades; passed over in favour of the more hyped about lipstic
