March Beauty Monthly Favourites

Cliche alert, but where has this year gone already! Just handed in my final dissertation and my exams start at the end of the month! I could have sworn it was just January. That end of another month has come upon me on and so I would like to share with you all my March favourites.

BareMinerals Skinlongetivity Vital Power Infusion
I picked this up back during HCristmas, but I have only been trying it out since the end of February. Since using it, I've notice that my skin looks and feels a lot better. It seems to be a bit brighter, but a lot more glowy.

Smashbox Contour Palette
I have had the hardest time finding a really good contouring shade for my skin tone. This Smashbox Contour Palette has been the answer to my problems. The cool-toned powder in here is great for me! When I wear it, it looks like I actually know how to properly contour.

Buxom Full-On Lip Polish in Katie
Spring to me means lots more glossy lips. Whenever I've been wanting a good lipgloss, I have been reaching for this Buxom lipgloss. It gives just the slightest tint of pink to my lips, but so much shininess.

BareMinerals Ready Colour Boost in The Adrenaline Rush
While I have had this for ages, I have been constantly reaching for it this month. The Adrenaline Rush has three different powders, cream, brown and pink, but when I swirl them all together it becomes the most natural subdued pinky-brown blush that is perfect for everyday wear.

MAC Extra Dimension Eyeshadow in Sweet Heat
I have been opting for really simple eye makeup; washes of colour all over the lid are my go to style. Sweet Heat is my favourite option for all over the eye. It this cross between a light bronze and a light copper. It also goes very nicely with the BareMinerals Ready Colour Boost in The Adrenaline Rush

I want to know what your recent favourites have been! What parts of your makeup routine do you change during the transition into Spring?

MAC: Fraud or Not?

It's getting to the time of year when  people start gathering together all there gifts in the rush to the holiday season. They start trying to get the best gifts possible for the best price they can. Unfortunately that leaves them vulnerable for people to take advantage of them. The most common form of this is through the use of counterfeit goods.  Recently a MAC lipstick was purchased for me, as a Christmas gift, from eBay. When I learned of it I was immediately sceptical and dubious of how genuine it was; I like to research into the item and view the pictures available myself. When I checked the listing, the lipstick was listed as 'MAC Amplified Creme Lipstick'. Upon looking at the details and the images available, I noticed that there were very few specifics and one general image of the lipstick with the lid off. I immediately wrote to the seller asking for pictures of the bottom label on the box and the lipstick tube (Well as details such as finish and shade). I kn

Totally Fabby MAC Lipstick!

I'm in the middle of shopping for new products; sort of preparing for the transition from winter to spring. Instead of picking up deep burgundies and warm chocolates, I have started to pick up pastel pinks and vanillas. I cannot wait of the warmer weather to roll in.  MAC frost lipstick in the shade Fabby was one of those new seasonal additions I picked up recently. Fabby is a really muted rosy pink shade with a frost finish. The draw point, for me, is the frost sheen gives kind of a golden overlay to the lips. The golden tone just adds an extra dimension, and helps brighten up any makeup look.  For being a frost finish, the colour pigmentation is quite opaque with a single swipe. The texture is not that creamy, and I don't mean that in a bad way. I'd describe it more as very similar to that of a MAC matte finish; creamy and not glossy. I feel that Fabby is one of MACs more overlooked shades; passed over in favour of the more hyped about lipstic

Barry M Colour Changing Lip Paint in Neptune

Remember way, way back, back to the very beginning of my blog. One of the very first products that I reviewed was the Barry M Lip Paint in the shade Genie. For those who don't know, Genie is an unusual colour changing lipstick. While it looks green in the tube, it turns a shade of pink on the lips that is supposed to be different for each person. It is supposed to be a result of the lipstick reacting to the alkaline level of the lips.
