I'm a big fan of the Lush Boxing Day sale, it's the one day each year when I buy the majority of my products to last the rest of the year. Everyone knows that to get the best pick of the sale you have to go to the stores opening, which can get a bit crazy. Now, I could not get to the Lush sale personally, my mum kindly did my shopping for me, but supposedly my local shop was a bit crazy. Bless the hearts of all those Lush employees who have the patience of saints. I know it's a bit late because Boxing Day was over two weeks ago; I debated whether to still post this. I'm still posting this because I think it would be good to talk about what I picked and why.
The first product that I unearthed from my giant Lush bag was the Stardust Gift set. In this particular set, there was: the Magic Wand bubble bar, the Shoot For the Stars bath bomb, the Star Light Star Bright bath melt, the Shooting Stars soap, the Snow Fairy sparkle jar, and a small Snow Fairy shower gel. The fact that most of these products are brand new to me, is what I love so much about this gift set. I've only tried the Magic Wand bubble bar and the Snow Fairy shower gel before.
Next surprise was the Star of Wonder Gift set. To be honest, when I heard the name, I kind of expected similar products to what I had discovered in the last. In this gift set you can find; the Shoot For the Stars bath bomb, the naked Snow Fairy body conditioner, the naked Snow Fairy shower gel, the Star Light Star Bright bath melt, the naked Twilight shower gel, and a very defective Snow Fairy Fun. Finding the Snow Fairy Fun like that was quite disappointing because I've never tried any of the Fun products before. I have divided it up into separate black-pots, trying to save it, but I think it was made too thin?
Then came the gift set that I actually sent my mum into the sale for; the Snow Fairy. I didn't have any expectations of this gift set other than lots of Snow Fairy goodness. Included in the gift set is: the Snow Fairy jelly bomb, the Magic Wand bubble bar, a small Snow Fairy shower gel, and a small Snow Fairy body conditioner.
Next is a familiar face from last year's Boxing Day Sale; the Golden Wonder Gift set. This is just a small gift set compared to the others that were picked up, containing only a Golden Wonder bath bomb and the Man in the Moon bubble bar. I can't remember exactly but I'm sure the product that accompanied the Golden Wonder last year was different. To me, it's not a Lush Christmas unless there is a Golden Wonder involved.
I also picked up (got my mum to pick up) a few single items. The Candy Mountain bubble bar, the Snow Fairy jelly bomb, the Butterbear bath bomb, the Golden Wonder bath bomb, and a large tub of the Snow Fairy Body Conditioner.
Now you may be thinking "Lord have mercy, Louise, do you need anymore?!". The answer to that would be 'YES!' Not even two days later I was going to meet my friends for dinner and decided to have a little 'pop-in'. That little 'pop-in' turned into me buying these.
I picked up the Golden Pear soap, a small Twilight shower gel, and a large Berry Berry Christmas shower gel. To be fair, I didn't realise that I had just received a naked Twilight shower gel aaand I had been eyeing up the Berry Berry Christmas shower gel but mum couldn't find it when she was there. Thus, my purchase has been rationalised!
What was your top pick of the Lush Boxing Day Sale? I'm personally all about the Snow Fairy and Golden Wonder during the festive period. And it's safe to say, I'm stocked up to last until Snow Fairy season comes back to me again.
