Too Faced Melted Matte Liquified Lipstick in Cool Girl

Matte liquid lipsticks are still having their moment! Everybody still loves a good matte lip. While I like to experiment with different brand formulas, I still have a few brands that I think have some of the better matte liquid lip formulas.

The Too Faced Melted Matte Liquified Lipsticks are one of those formulas. I originally picked this up last year from Sephora before they had even launched in the UK. I can't remeber exactly but I think I wanted the shade 'Queen B' and they were sold out. 'Cool Girl' was the next best shade for me, considering I was all about the nude lipsticks last Autumn.

The tube is very stylish with a wider clear plastic base and a golden cap. It doesn't feel as if I'm in any danger of destroying it easily. The logo for the product also ties into the rest of the Melted range. It is one of the prettier liquid lipstick tubes I own and I will be proudly displayed on my vanity for all to see.

The shade Cool Girl is a soft brown toned nude, that has enough pink to be preferable to me. The Melted Matte Liquified Lipstick dries down very fast, faster than any other liquid lipstick I have tried. It was drying as I tried to apply it. Thankfully, the product is pigmented and smooth which means that I did not have to go over any areas.

The formula is not as comfortable as the Kat von D Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks, but not as drying as the Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipsticks. It's very comfortable on the lips. You can feel like there is product on your lips, due to the slight tackiness, but other than that it feels great. It sits ranked as number two on my list of liquid lipstick formulas, just behind Kat von D.

I really actually love it! This has turned into my go-to nude liquid lipstick, followed by my Kat Von D Lolita II and my NYX Suede Liquid Lipstick in Sandstorm. I've used it up so much that a repurchase may be in my future.

What is your all time favourite liquid lipstick?

MAC: Fraud or Not?

It's getting to the time of year when  people start gathering together all there gifts in the rush to the holiday season. They start trying to get the best gifts possible for the best price they can. Unfortunately that leaves them vulnerable for people to take advantage of them. The most common form of this is through the use of counterfeit goods.  Recently a MAC lipstick was purchased for me, as a Christmas gift, from eBay. When I learned of it I was immediately sceptical and dubious of how genuine it was; I like to research into the item and view the pictures available myself. When I checked the listing, the lipstick was listed as 'MAC Amplified Creme Lipstick'. Upon looking at the details and the images available, I noticed that there were very few specifics and one general image of the lipstick with the lid off. I immediately wrote to the seller asking for pictures of the bottom label on the box and the lipstick tube (Well as details such as finish and shade). I kn

Totally Fabby MAC Lipstick!

I'm in the middle of shopping for new products; sort of preparing for the transition from winter to spring. Instead of picking up deep burgundies and warm chocolates, I have started to pick up pastel pinks and vanillas. I cannot wait of the warmer weather to roll in.  MAC frost lipstick in the shade Fabby was one of those new seasonal additions I picked up recently. Fabby is a really muted rosy pink shade with a frost finish. The draw point, for me, is the frost sheen gives kind of a golden overlay to the lips. The golden tone just adds an extra dimension, and helps brighten up any makeup look.  For being a frost finish, the colour pigmentation is quite opaque with a single swipe. The texture is not that creamy, and I don't mean that in a bad way. I'd describe it more as very similar to that of a MAC matte finish; creamy and not glossy. I feel that Fabby is one of MACs more overlooked shades; passed over in favour of the more hyped about lipstic

Barry M Colour Changing Lip Paint in Neptune

Remember way, way back, back to the very beginning of my blog. One of the very first products that I reviewed was the Barry M Lip Paint in the shade Genie. For those who don't know, Genie is an unusual colour changing lipstick. While it looks green in the tube, it turns a shade of pink on the lips that is supposed to be different for each person. It is supposed to be a result of the lipstick reacting to the alkaline level of the lips.
