Have I Finally Found my Perfect NUDE?!

If you are a regular reader of my blog then you will know I've constantly been on the hunt for the perfect nude lipstick. I have struggled to find that ultimate perfect nude lipstick, the one that will be such a good colour for my pale skin that I can just wear it with anything. I finally think I have found it!

Introducing the Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in the shade Crush.  It is everything that I have ever search for, on my hunt for the perfect nude. It is a soft, dusty pinky-brown nude colour that is so complimentary to my pale skin. When I was in Sephora, standing in front of the Anastasia Beverley Hills display, I struggled with which one to pick. I was going to go for Pure Hollywood, but as it was completely sold out, I picked up Crush which looked fairly similar. Needless to say, I am very happy that I picked up Crush as opposed to Pure Hollywood.

The Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick formula is the middle ground to which I judge all other liquid lipsticks after all the shade Poison was the first liquid lipstick that I ever bought two years ago. The formula is neither too mousse-like or too thin and liquidy. I find that one thin layer is all I need to reach full opacity.

I find that there ends up being lots of product on the wand, like the stopper is not correctly removing product as I remove the wand. It's not a big deal, but I find myself having to scrape off the sides of the wand before even attempting to put it on. The pigmentation of the liquid lip is such that the littlest bit goes a long way. The stopper is not that big of a deal, just something that people should know if they are thinking of buying an Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick.

It is now my go-to nude lipstick that I can just throw on my lips and it will go with anything. Honestly, since coming back from Florida it has never even left my handbag.

What is your perfect nude lipstick or liquid lip?

MAC: Fraud or Not?

It's getting to the time of year when  people start gathering together all there gifts in the rush to the holiday season. They start trying to get the best gifts possible for the best price they can. Unfortunately that leaves them vulnerable for people to take advantage of them. The most common form of this is through the use of counterfeit goods.  Recently a MAC lipstick was purchased for me, as a Christmas gift, from eBay. When I learned of it I was immediately sceptical and dubious of how genuine it was; I like to research into the item and view the pictures available myself. When I checked the listing, the lipstick was listed as 'MAC Amplified Creme Lipstick'. Upon looking at the details and the images available, I noticed that there were very few specifics and one general image of the lipstick with the lid off. I immediately wrote to the seller asking for pictures of the bottom label on the box and the lipstick tube (Well as details such as finish and shade). I kn

Totally Fabby MAC Lipstick!

I'm in the middle of shopping for new products; sort of preparing for the transition from winter to spring. Instead of picking up deep burgundies and warm chocolates, I have started to pick up pastel pinks and vanillas. I cannot wait of the warmer weather to roll in.  MAC frost lipstick in the shade Fabby was one of those new seasonal additions I picked up recently. Fabby is a really muted rosy pink shade with a frost finish. The draw point, for me, is the frost sheen gives kind of a golden overlay to the lips. The golden tone just adds an extra dimension, and helps brighten up any makeup look.  For being a frost finish, the colour pigmentation is quite opaque with a single swipe. The texture is not that creamy, and I don't mean that in a bad way. I'd describe it more as very similar to that of a MAC matte finish; creamy and not glossy. I feel that Fabby is one of MACs more overlooked shades; passed over in favour of the more hyped about lipstic

Barry M Colour Changing Lip Paint in Neptune

Remember way, way back, back to the very beginning of my blog. One of the very first products that I reviewed was the Barry M Lip Paint in the shade Genie. For those who don't know, Genie is an unusual colour changing lipstick. While it looks green in the tube, it turns a shade of pink on the lips that is supposed to be different for each person. It is supposed to be a result of the lipstick reacting to the alkaline level of the lips.
