MAC Dazzleshadow Liquid

I was casually scrolling my Instagram feed when I came across this clip of pure, blinding glitter. Because I love glitter so much, I knew whatever it was I had to have it. I noticed the post was from my local MAC counter, so I promised myself that I would go down and have a little nosey. I found out that MAC had recently launched their new Dazzleshadow Liquid; a super shimmery, glittery liquid eyeshadow. I was in love!

I was stuck over which of the MAC Dazzleshadow Liquids to pick. They all attracted me, with their glitter and sparkle. I'm one of those people who are akin to a magpie; the shinier the better. I ended up picking the shade Diamond Crumbles. Diamond Crumbles has a white opalescent base with pale blue shimmer and light pink micro glitter. After purchasing, I did wonder how wearable my choice would be but I was determined to be a bit adventurous.

These are quite similar to my Makeup For Ever Star Lit Liquid, in that they are both liquid shimmery eyeshadows. The main difference lies in their performance. The MAC Dazzleshadow Liquids dry down completely to a matte finish, and they do not budge. MAC claims that they last for around eight hours, and while I never tested it to that limit, I can say that after over four hours there is no wear and tear visible.

I worried that after applying the liquid over my powder eyeshadow, things would become clumpy and gather in the creases of my eyes. However, I am happy to report, that did not come to pass. I have the feeling that if you tried to do multiple heavy layers, then there may be some problems.

I'm so super impressed with the Dazzleshadow Liquid in Diamond Crumble that I feel like I want to coordinate all my outfits around it. I never want to take it off my eyes!

MAC: Fraud or Not?

It's getting to the time of year when  people start gathering together all there gifts in the rush to the holiday season. They start trying to get the best gifts possible for the best price they can. Unfortunately that leaves them vulnerable for people to take advantage of them. The most common form of this is through the use of counterfeit goods.  Recently a MAC lipstick was purchased for me, as a Christmas gift, from eBay. When I learned of it I was immediately sceptical and dubious of how genuine it was; I like to research into the item and view the pictures available myself. When I checked the listing, the lipstick was listed as 'MAC Amplified Creme Lipstick'. Upon looking at the details and the images available, I noticed that there were very few specifics and one general image of the lipstick with the lid off. I immediately wrote to the seller asking for pictures of the bottom label on the box and the lipstick tube (Well as details such as finish and shade). I kn

Totally Fabby MAC Lipstick!

I'm in the middle of shopping for new products; sort of preparing for the transition from winter to spring. Instead of picking up deep burgundies and warm chocolates, I have started to pick up pastel pinks and vanillas. I cannot wait of the warmer weather to roll in.  MAC frost lipstick in the shade Fabby was one of those new seasonal additions I picked up recently. Fabby is a really muted rosy pink shade with a frost finish. The draw point, for me, is the frost sheen gives kind of a golden overlay to the lips. The golden tone just adds an extra dimension, and helps brighten up any makeup look.  For being a frost finish, the colour pigmentation is quite opaque with a single swipe. The texture is not that creamy, and I don't mean that in a bad way. I'd describe it more as very similar to that of a MAC matte finish; creamy and not glossy. I feel that Fabby is one of MACs more overlooked shades; passed over in favour of the more hyped about lipstic

Barry M Colour Changing Lip Paint in Neptune

Remember way, way back, back to the very beginning of my blog. One of the very first products that I reviewed was the Barry M Lip Paint in the shade Genie. For those who don't know, Genie is an unusual colour changing lipstick. While it looks green in the tube, it turns a shade of pink on the lips that is supposed to be different for each person. It is supposed to be a result of the lipstick reacting to the alkaline level of the lips.
