Essie Nail Lacquer in 'Toggle to the Top'

It is getting closer to that time of year...and the end of my winter exams!! I feel that Christmas is now rushing in and that I still have so much to get done. I decided to have a little pamper evening to try and chill out a bit. I ran a bath, used a mask and painted my nails. I'm currently in a blissed out mood; feeling fresh with sparkling festive nails.

I used Essie Nail Lacquer in 'Toggle to the Top'. It is a very Christmassy colour; quite a deep and dark red. There are tiny little specks of vibrant red glitter suspended in the nail polish as well. It is not a cream formula, but actually more of a jelly, as you can see through the different layers of polish.

The colour is completely opaque after two thin coats, but at the same time you can feel the flecks of glitter on the final layer. If the feel of the glitter would irritate you, then it would be best to put a top coat on.

Even though it is not aimed at Christmas, I feel that the glitter and the rich red colour make it a perfect festive colour.

What is your favourite festive nail polish?

Farewell to Lime Crime Unicorn Lipsticks

As you may, or may not, know Lime Crime are discontinuing their Unicorn Lipsticks. Such a sad thing, I know. I remember first hearing of the lipstick from a family member who had one in their collection. I always promised myself that one day, I would have a Unicorn Lipstick. When I seen their Instagram post about the discontinue, I immediately went onto their website and bought not one or two, but THREE Unicorn Lipstick. Let me tell you I have never been happier; their are no post buy regrets on these babies!

Barry M Colour Changing Lip Paint in Neptune

Remember way, way back, back to the very beginning of my blog. One of the very first products that I reviewed was the Barry M Lip Paint in the shade Genie. For those who don't know, Genie is an unusual colour changing lipstick. While it looks green in the tube, it turns a shade of pink on the lips that is supposed to be different for each person. It is supposed to be a result of the lipstick reacting to the alkaline level of the lips.

MAC: Fraud or Not?

It's getting to the time of year when  people start gathering together all there gifts in the rush to the holiday season. They start trying to get the best gifts possible for the best price they can. Unfortunately that leaves them vulnerable for people to take advantage of them. The most common form of this is through the use of counterfeit goods.
Recently a MAC lipstick was purchased for me, as a Christmas gift, from eBay. When I learned of it I was immediately sceptical and dubious of how genuine it was; I like to research into the item and view the pictures available myself. When I checked the listing, the lipstick was listed as 'MAC Amplified Creme Lipstick'. Upon looking at the details and the images available, I noticed that there were very few specifics and one general image of the lipstick with the lid off. I immediately wrote to the seller asking for pictures of the bottom label on the box and the lipstick tube (Well as details such as finish and shade). I knew th…
