November Favourites

It's monthly favourites time!! November has been a busy month with all the exam prep and final papers to be submitted, so not as much makeup as normal.

Maybelline Colour Tattoo - On and On Bronze
Last time I talked about this was way back in my January Favourites and, believe it or not, I'm still using the same one! It's not went all dry and is still perfectly usable. I find that the bronze shade is perfect for the holiday season.

MAC Luster Lipstick in Plumful
The newest MAC lipstick in my collection that I bought near the end of October. I find that it pairs up nicely with the Maybelline Colour Tattoo in On and On Bronze. It is a nice everyday colour that can be applied on the go. It looks super glossy which negates the need for any lipgloss over the top.

Batiste Dry Shampoo
The cold weather makes me lazier; no lie. I often find myself getting up at the last minute, leaving myself only enough time for a quick blast of dry shampoo in my hair. The latest scent I'm going crazy over is the Cherry scent

Illamasqua Satin Primer
I've recently been using more matte foundations to last through the long days at Uni, and I've found that the Illamasqua Satin Primer works best. It makes it so the matte foundation does not cling to my more prominent dry patches, and not emphasise any skin texture.

Soap and Glory Whipped Clean
This has been winning, out of all my other shower products. I've been loving the smell of vanilla cupcake; it's so strong I'm smiling it on my skin days later. It also give my skin an extra little moisture burst for this time of year!

There is one more monthly favourite left to do in this month! Where has time went?

MAC: Fraud or Not?

It's getting to the time of year when  people start gathering together all there gifts in the rush to the holiday season. They start trying to get the best gifts possible for the best price they can. Unfortunately that leaves them vulnerable for people to take advantage of them. The most common form of this is through the use of counterfeit goods.  Recently a MAC lipstick was purchased for me, as a Christmas gift, from eBay. When I learned of it I was immediately sceptical and dubious of how genuine it was; I like to research into the item and view the pictures available myself. When I checked the listing, the lipstick was listed as 'MAC Amplified Creme Lipstick'. Upon looking at the details and the images available, I noticed that there were very few specifics and one general image of the lipstick with the lid off. I immediately wrote to the seller asking for pictures of the bottom label on the box and the lipstick tube (Well as details such as finish and shade). I kn

Totally Fabby MAC Lipstick!

I'm in the middle of shopping for new products; sort of preparing for the transition from winter to spring. Instead of picking up deep burgundies and warm chocolates, I have started to pick up pastel pinks and vanillas. I cannot wait of the warmer weather to roll in.  MAC frost lipstick in the shade Fabby was one of those new seasonal additions I picked up recently. Fabby is a really muted rosy pink shade with a frost finish. The draw point, for me, is the frost sheen gives kind of a golden overlay to the lips. The golden tone just adds an extra dimension, and helps brighten up any makeup look.  For being a frost finish, the colour pigmentation is quite opaque with a single swipe. The texture is not that creamy, and I don't mean that in a bad way. I'd describe it more as very similar to that of a MAC matte finish; creamy and not glossy. I feel that Fabby is one of MACs more overlooked shades; passed over in favour of the more hyped about lipstic

Barry M Colour Changing Lip Paint in Neptune

Remember way, way back, back to the very beginning of my blog. One of the very first products that I reviewed was the Barry M Lip Paint in the shade Genie. For those who don't know, Genie is an unusual colour changing lipstick. While it looks green in the tube, it turns a shade of pink on the lips that is supposed to be different for each person. It is supposed to be a result of the lipstick reacting to the alkaline level of the lips.
