Insta Recap



This week was slightly boring, by most people,a standards. I spent a lot of time at home simply chilling and doing absolutely nothing. Zip. Nada!

Winter chills
It's been sooo freezing cold here in Scotland that I've been constantly sipping on hot chocolate. I've been constantly using the new mug I got from Disney World in Orlando. I went through such trouble to get it too. On my second last day, the Magic Kingdom stores had completely sold out of it. I had to the get the monorail to Ticket & Transportation Center, and then the monorail to Epcot. I had previously seen the mug in Mouse Gear and had no trouble acquiring it there. I then has to rush back on the monorail back to the Ticket & Transportation Center to catch the bus back to International Drive. I can safely say that I loved the mug that much. 


Ooey Gooey Chocolate

I tried a new face mask from Lush last week; the Cupcake. A yummy mint chocolate concoction that I can layer on my face. It looks very weird on my face, even though my skin feels great!

Pore O'clock
I never thought that I'd own this little mini beauty! From what I heard it was only available to those who spend over £40. When I went to receive my Pore O'clock Porefessional sample I was told that my branch never received any of them in, and if I'd be ok with only the clock. Who wouldn't! Sample are a dime a dozen, but limited edition Benefit clocks are not!

Florida
It passed the official halfway marks between my two Florida holidays! It passed that point were it had been seven months since I'd been, and seven months until I go! This was my favourite photo of the holiday as it basically encompasses my entire holiday!

MAC: Fraud or Not?

It's getting to the time of year when  people start gathering together all there gifts in the rush to the holiday season. They start trying to get the best gifts possible for the best price they can. Unfortunately that leaves them vulnerable for people to take advantage of them. The most common form of this is through the use of counterfeit goods.  Recently a MAC lipstick was purchased for me, as a Christmas gift, from eBay. When I learned of it I was immediately sceptical and dubious of how genuine it was; I like to research into the item and view the pictures available myself. Upon looking at the details and the images available, I noticed that there were very few specifics and one general image of the lipstick with the lid off. Totally Fabby MAC Lipstick!

I'm in the middle of shopping for new products; sort of preparing for the transition from winter to spring. Instead of picking up deep burgundies and warm chocolates, I have started to pick up pastel pinks and vanillas. I cannot wait of the warmer weather to roll in.  MAC frost lipstick in the shade Fabby was one of those new seasonal additions I picked up recently. Fabby is a really muted rosy pink shade with a frost finish. The draw point, for me, is the frost sheen gives kind of a golden overlay to the lips. The golden tone just adds an extra dimension, and helps brighten up any makeup look.  For being a frost finish, the colour pigmentation is quite opaque with a single swipe. The texture is not that creamy, and I don't mean that in a bad way. I'd describe it more as very similar to that of a MAC matte finish; creamy and not glossy. I feel that Fabby is one of MACs more overlooked shades; passed over in favour of the more hyped about lipstic...

Barry M Colour Changing Lip Paint in Neptune

Remember way, way back, back to the very beginning of my blog. One of the very first products that I reviewed was the Barry M Lip Paint in the shade Genie. For those who don't know, Genie is an unusual colour changing lipstick. While it looks green in the tube, it turns a shade of pink on the lips that is supposed to be different for each person. It is supposed to be a result of the lipstick reacting to the alkaline level of the lips.
