Essie Nail Polish in 'Cozy in Cashmere'

I went looking for a new nail polish that was nude or a bit toned down for this season. I recently had to cut off all the tips of my nails as they were too damaged through peeling and breaking. I usually go to Barry M, but there was nothing there that was calling to me. So I need up in front of Essie, which I wouldn't usually buy unless it was from Tk Maxx.

I picked up Cozy in Cashmere, which is a very pretty greige colour. There are tiny little blue reflex shimmers in the polish which gives it extra dimension. The shimmers are hard to notice when on the nails, but you can clearly see them in the bottle, or if you put a top coat over the top.

I, personally, am not one for matte nails so I have put a top coat over. If I did have to were a matte nail polish it would be this. It's easy to apply and the formula is not as thick and gloopy as other matte nail polishes I have tried.

Cozy in Cashmere is a really nice colour to pick up for the transition between Autumn and Winter. It's very colour appropriate for both seasons.

MAC: Fraud or Not?

It's getting to the time of year when people start gathering together all there gifts in the rush to the holiday season. They start trying to get the best gifts possible for the best price they can. Unfortunately that leaves them vulnerable for people to take advantage of them. The most common form of this is through the use of counterfeit goods. Totally Fabby MAC Lipstick!

I'm in the middle of shopping for new products; sort of preparing for the transition from winter to spring. Instead of picking up deep burgundies and warm chocolates, I have started to pick up pastel pinks and vanillas. I cannot wait of the warmer weather to roll in. MAC frost lipstick in the shade Fabby was one of those new seasonal additions I picked up recently. Fabby is a really muted rosy pink shade with a frost finish. The draw point, for me, is the frost sheen gives kind of a golden overlay to the lips. The golden tone just adds an extra dimension, and helps brighten up any makeup look. For being a frost finish, the colour pigmentation is quite opaque with a single swipe. The texture is not that creamy, and I don't mean that in a bad way. I'd describe it more as very similar to that of a MAC matte finish; creamy and not glossy. Barry M Colour Changing Lip Paint in Neptune

Remember way, way back, back to the very beginning of my blog. One of the very first products that I reviewed was the Barry M Lip Paint in the shade Genie. For those who don't know, Genie is an unusual colour changing lipstick. While it looks green in the tube, it turns a shade of pink on the lips that is supposed to be different for each person. It is supposed to be a result of the lipstick reacting to the alkaline level of the lips.
