Halloween Lush Haul

Special seasonal Lush products are my favourite Lush products. Whether it is Fluffy Egg at Easter or Snow Fairy at Christmas, I love it all! Though, I have yet to find that signature product that represents my Halloween. I knew there had been a few new releases for this year, so I had to go a hauling'.

Lord of Misrule Bath Bomb
I believe that the Lord of Misrule is a fan favourite at this time of year, but that the bath bomb form is new. I have quite a few Lush shower creams I'm trying to work through which is why I picked up the bath bomb form. This smells very earthy and slightly warming? I find it kinda hard to identify smells. Some of the key ingredients are: patchouli oil, black pepper oil, and vanilla absolute

Monsters' Ball Bath Bomb
I feel like this is the new Halloween product that I had seen others talking about. This smells very sweet and sour, which I really love. The smell of the lime is so uplifting. This reminds me a lot of my favourite Soap & Glory scent 'Sugar Crush'. Some of the key ingredients are: lime oil, neroli oil, and olibanum oil

Boo Bath Melt
This was the one product that I knew I wanted to try out. He just looks so cute and like a marshmallow! It smells not to sweet with a heavy floral under tone. I've never used a bath melt before but I'm so into trying it. Some of the key ingredients are: Fair-trade organic cocoa butter, ginger oil, and mimosa absolute.

Overall, I think that the Monsters' Ball has the most potential to be my Halloween favourite.  I'll have to wait and try it before making that final verdict. But, the Boo Bath Melt has also got major potential.

What is your favourite Lush Halloween product?

MAC: Fraud or Not?

It's getting to the time of year when  people start gathering together all there gifts in the rush to the holiday season. They start trying to get the best gifts possible for the best price they can. Unfortunately that leaves them vulnerable for people to take advantage of them. The most common form of this is through the use of counterfeit goods.  Recently a MAC lipstick was purchased for me, as a Christmas gift, from eBay. When I learned of it I was immediately sceptical and dubious of how genuine it was; I like to research into the item and view the pictures available myself. When I checked the listing, the lipstick was listed as 'MAC Amplified Creme Lipstick'. Upon looking at the details and the images available, I noticed that there were very few specifics and one general image of the lipstick with the lid off. I immediately wrote to the seller asking for pictures of the bottom label on the box and the lipstick tube (Well as details such as finish and shade). I kn

Totally Fabby MAC Lipstick!

I'm in the middle of shopping for new products; sort of preparing for the transition from winter to spring. Instead of picking up deep burgundies and warm chocolates, I have started to pick up pastel pinks and vanillas. I cannot wait of the warmer weather to roll in.  MAC frost lipstick in the shade Fabby was one of those new seasonal additions I picked up recently. Fabby is a really muted rosy pink shade with a frost finish. The draw point, for me, is the frost sheen gives kind of a golden overlay to the lips. The golden tone just adds an extra dimension, and helps brighten up any makeup look.  For being a frost finish, the colour pigmentation is quite opaque with a single swipe. The texture is not that creamy, and I don't mean that in a bad way. I'd describe it more as very similar to that of a MAC matte finish; creamy and not glossy. I feel that Fabby is one of MACs more overlooked shades; passed over in favour of the more hyped about lipstic

Barry M Colour Changing Lip Paint in Neptune

Remember way, way back, back to the very beginning of my blog. One of the very first products that I reviewed was the Barry M Lip Paint in the shade Genie. For those who don't know, Genie is an unusual colour changing lipstick. While it looks green in the tube, it turns a shade of pink on the lips that is supposed to be different for each person. It is supposed to be a result of the lipstick reacting to the alkaline level of the lips.
