Lush! Lush! Lush! I do love me a good rummage around in Lush. I still consider myself quite a newbie when it comes to Lush products. I've really only tried their face masks: Cupcake and Catastrophe Cosmetic. I cannot say for sure what my favourite is, as I've only tried two.
The thought of smothering my face in chocolate was too tempting for me to deny any longer. When standing at the fresh mask stand, at the weekend, my eyes kept drifting back to the chocolate Cupcake goodness. One whiff and I was sold! That chocolaty minty goodness took me back to winter days with a mug of my favourite mint hot chocolate...mmm.
Cupcake
I couldn't wait to try this when I got it home. My initial thought was correct: that was great happiness to be found in plastering gooey chocolate all over my face. The temperature from the fridge made me feel very wide awake and refreshed. The mint that was in the mask soothed and calmed my sensitive skin. Looking at myself in the mirror once I'd finished, I got a fright. I looked like is smothered my face in something rather unpleasant, bit still the effect was very nice.
I felt like Cupcake took longer than Catastrophe Cosmetic to dry. I had to leave it for around half and hour for it to become touch dry. It was also slightly harder to take off. Where as Catastrophe Cosmetic just quite literally flaked and crumbled off the face, Cupcake had to be scrubbed thoroughly.
Catastrophe Cosmetic
This was my first Lush product EVER!! I had been suffering with really rad and unhappy skin during the lead up to Christmas time. There was also a large part of me that wanted to get into Lush products, I mean, everyone loves it!! I, however, can't stand the strong smell in the shop. It leads to a mucho big headache that evening. I kinda have to know what I'm going for, get it and get out as quick as I can.
Catastrophe Cosmetic is very good to my sensitive skin, I found. The consistency was much lighter when I compare it to Cupcake. There are little chunks of blueberries throughout the mask, which I found really cool. Similar to Cupcake, the temperature from the fridge made me feel very wide awake and refreshed. It dried very quickly and just flaked off my skin with very minimal scrubbing.

The after affect for the both was still the same; a nice, bright and glowing face that felt smoother than it'd ever been!
