MaxFactor Colour Elixir Lipstick in #833 Rosewood

I have to talk about my new favourite everyday lipstick!

The golden metallic case makes the product feel very luxurious and, when I got this, it was the only one in gold I owned which made it stand out. It doesn't feel like it's a cheap material either.

The pigmentation of the lipstick is spot on! I give my lips two sweeps to achieve full opacity. The formulation is very hydrating compared to others I have, which makes this one especially good for the colder weather.

When I bought the shade I thought it would kind of a plummy-brown, but I find it to be a very 'my lips but better' shade. It makes my lips a touch darker.  It leaves my lips with a very pretty shine to them which negates the need for a lip balm or gloss.

At £7.99 this is one of the more expensive lipsticks that I have purchased from a pharmacy (I just want to call it drugstore makeup, even though I'm not American. Is it acceptable?)

MAC: Fraud or Not?

It's getting to the time of year when  people start gathering together all there gifts in the rush to the holiday season. They start trying to get the best gifts possible for the best price they can. Unfortunately that leaves them vulnerable for people to take advantage of them. The most common form of this is through the use of counterfeit goods.
Recently a MAC lipstick was purchased for me, as a Christmas gift, from eBay. When I checked the listing, the lipstick was listed as 'MAC Amplified Creme Lipstick'. Upon looking at the details and the images available, I noticed that there were very few specifics and one general image of the lipstick with the lid off. I immediately wrote to the seller asking for pictures of the bottom label on the box and the lipstick tube (Well as details such as finish and shade). I knew th…

Barry M Colour Changing Lip Paint in Neptune

Remember way, way back, back to the very beginning of my blog. One of the very first products that I reviewed was the Barry M Lip Paint in the shade Genie. For those who don't know, Genie is an unusual colour changing lipstick. While it looks green in the tube, it turns a shade of pink on the lips that is supposed to be different for each person. It is supposed to be a result of the lipstick reacting to the alkaline level of the lips.

Farewell to Lime Crime Unicorn Lipsticks

As you may, or may not, know Lime Crime are discontinuing their Unicorn Lipsticks. Such a sad thing, I know. I remember first hearing of the lipstick from a family member who had one in their collection. I always promised myself that one day, I would have a Unicorn Lipstick. When I seen their Instagram post about the discontinue, I immediately went onto their website and bought not one or two, but THREE Unicorn Lipstick. Let me tell you I have never been happier; their are no post buy regrets on these babies!
