Nails Inc Gel Effect in Porchester Square

I picked this up while in a Sephora, in the States. I was one of those buys on a whim, like 'I don't need it but I want it'. My only previous Nails Inc polish before hand had been from a Glamour magazine, which I really enjoyed, so I was ready to try more.

I picked up the shade Porchester Square. It is kind of like between a greige and a mushroom colour. The gel effect finish means that, without a top coat, it has a lot of shine already. Although, I feel that the formulation is no better than any other nail polish. It still wears at the tip very fast, for me. I have the feeling that I'm very 'heavy handed'.

I think it's very nice colour for autumn and winter. It makes a nice change from the deep berry colours that I usually paint my nails with at this time.

MAC: Fraud or Not?

Totally Fabby MAC Lipstick!

I'm in the middle of shopping for new products; sort of preparing for the transition from winter to spring. Instead of picking up deep burgundies and warm chocolates, I have started to pick up pastel pinks and vanillas. I cannot wait of the warmer weather to roll in. MAC frost lipstick in the shade Fabby was one of those new seasonal additions I picked up recently. Fabby is a really muted rosy pink shade with a frost finish. The draw point, for me, is the frost sheen gives kind of a golden overlay to the lips. The golden tone just adds an extra dimension, and helps brighten up any makeup look. For being a frost finish, the colour pigmentation is quite opaque with a single swipe. The texture is not that creamy, and I don't mean that in a bad way. I'd describe it more as very similar to that of a MAC matte finish; creamy and not glossy. Barry M Colour Changing Lip Paint in Neptune

Remember way, way back, back to the very beginning of my blog. One of the very first products that I reviewed was the Barry M Lip Paint in the shade Genie. For those who don't know, Genie is an unusual colour changing lipstick. While it looks green in the tube, it turns a shade of pink on the lips that is supposed to be different for each person. It is supposed to be a result of the lipstick reacting to the alkaline level of the lips.
