Lush Christmas Haul

In case you all have not heard, Lush launched their Christmas products. Only joking! Who doesn't know that Christmas is now stocked; it seems like everyone is doing their Christmas Lush hauls now. I was not really a bath bomb person until I picked up the Fluffy Egg at Easter. Now I'm hooked! I thought that I'd join in with my little Christmas Haul.

The Comforter Shower Cream

- Snug berry hug -

How did I not discover this deliciousness earlier?! It is like concentrated Ribena; so sweet. It's the perfect pick me up after a long, tiring day. The main three ingredients are: cassis absolute, bergamot oil and cypress oil. I need to go and by the biggest bottle they have available.

Magic Wand Reusable Bubble Bar

- Make a wish! -

Anything that smells sweet and like candy floss is good to me. It reminds me of the first Lush bath bomb I bought; the Fluffy Egg. I like that it's reusable, the sales assistant said she had herd of people getting up to five or six baths with it. Realistically, I feel that I might get four baths out of it.

Popcorn Lip Scrub

- Moisturise and scrubs your lips -

I am aways in need a good lip scrub to exfoliate my lips. I don't have particularly chapped lips, but I always love the feeling after of super soft lips. It's also good for before I use liquid lipsticks to make sure they apply nicely. There is the interesting taste of both the sugar and sea salt combining which reminds me of my favourite sweet and salty flavoured popcorn. The main three ingredients are: virgin coconut oil, popping candy and polenta.

So White Bath Bomb

- The fairest of them all -

It looks so simple, but smells so delicious! The plain white exterior might not excite so people, what with all the other richly decorated bath bombs, but the smell is divine. It smells strongly of crisp and fresh apples. The main three ingredients are: neroli oil, bergamot oil and rose absolute.

Frozen Bath Bomb

- Let it go -

To be honest I bought this purely on a whim; Frozen is my love! The Lush description is so cute, 'Do you want to have a bath bomb? Do you want to splash and play?' Who didn't read that in tune with 'Do you want to build a snowman?" The main three ingredients are: grapefruit oil, rose oil and neroli oil.

Golden Wonder Bath Bomb

- A wonder to behold -

The staple of a Lush Christmas. I was told that the top Lush christmas product was the Golden Wonder, and that I would not be disappointed by it. I actually just shook it and it sounds hollow in the middle. Hiding a surprise? I am probably going to save it until the end, or if I do cave in then buy a new one. The three main ingredients are: lime oil, sweet orange oil and cognac oil.

Five Gold Rings Reusable Bubble Bar

- On the fifth day of Christmas... -

The glitter all over these reminds me of my Sparkly Pumpkin, it gets EVERYWHERE! I like the idea that this will last me for five baths. I plan to take them off one by one, instead of just dunking it and letting it dry. The main three ingredients are; vanilla absolute, tonka absolute and gardenia extract.

Oatifix Fresh Face Mask

- Hydrate, exfoliate and treat -

I am slowly, but surely, making my way through all the Lush face masks and Oatifix is my latest. I have wanted to try this for a while but just picked up others instead. It looks like it will me more of a 'scrubby' mask than the others I've tried. The main three ingredients are: fine oatmeal, organic illipe butter and Fairtrade banana.

I now feel like a hoarder with too much stuff. I am quite happy with my selection, considering this is my first Lush Christmas, and I have no experience if any of the products I picked up are good. I can't wait to use them all coming up to Christmas!

Have you picked up any Christmas Lush products yet?

MAC: Fraud or Not?

It's getting to the time of year when  people start gathering together all there gifts in the rush to the holiday season. They start trying to get the best gifts possible for the best price they can. Unfortunately that leaves them vulnerable for people to take advantage of them. The most common form of this is through the use of counterfeit goods.  Recently a MAC lipstick was purchased for me, as a Christmas gift, from eBay. When I learned of it I was immediately sceptical and dubious of how genuine it was; I like to research into the item and view the pictures available myself. When I checked the listing, the lipstick was listed as 'MAC Amplified Creme Lipstick'. Upon looking at the details and the images available, I noticed that there were very few specifics and one general image of the lipstick with the lid off. I immediately wrote to the seller asking for pictures of the bottom label on the box and the lipstick tube (Well as details such as finish and shade). I kn

Totally Fabby MAC Lipstick!

I'm in the middle of shopping for new products; sort of preparing for the transition from winter to spring. Instead of picking up deep burgundies and warm chocolates, I have started to pick up pastel pinks and vanillas. I cannot wait of the warmer weather to roll in.  MAC frost lipstick in the shade Fabby was one of those new seasonal additions I picked up recently. Fabby is a really muted rosy pink shade with a frost finish. The draw point, for me, is the frost sheen gives kind of a golden overlay to the lips. The golden tone just adds an extra dimension, and helps brighten up any makeup look.  For being a frost finish, the colour pigmentation is quite opaque with a single swipe. The texture is not that creamy, and I don't mean that in a bad way. I'd describe it more as very similar to that of a MAC matte finish; creamy and not glossy. I feel that Fabby is one of MACs more overlooked shades; passed over in favour of the more hyped about lipstic

Barry M Colour Changing Lip Paint in Neptune

Remember way, way back, back to the very beginning of my blog. One of the very first products that I reviewed was the Barry M Lip Paint in the shade Genie. For those who don't know, Genie is an unusual colour changing lipstick. While it looks green in the tube, it turns a shade of pink on the lips that is supposed to be different for each person. It is supposed to be a result of the lipstick reacting to the alkaline level of the lips.
