Of Love and Lipstick

I thought I'd do another get ready with me; the first for this year! I was going to an outdoorsy summer party which I thought would be a fun 'subject', as such. I kept my face makeup very simple: L'Oreal True Match foundation; Makeup Revolution Blushing Heart Blusher; Essence Make Brows Wow! Kit; Benefit Boi-ing concealer, and bareMinerals Mineral Veil. The look was finishes with my MAC cremesheen lipstick in Creme Cup; which was very subtle as to now drag attention from they eyes.

This is my most recent collage; I quite literally finished this less than an hour ago. Elsa is considered to be one of the stronger females in the Disney franchise, teaching girls to not hide who they are (and that they don't need a prince to be amazing!).

A little exam procrastination! I have my Psychology final today, and I'm at that point where I not longer care what will happen. That does not bode well considering that my attendance was sketchy at best. I just want to pass, I don't care about the grade I get. So, anyway. I had a bit of another shopping trip todayyy! I hit up my most favourite store in the world, TK Maxx, and also, as strange as it may seem; my workplace. I work at a national store known as Store 21; it only opened back in March. It is a bit of a value store, specialising in homeward and womenswear, but also selling menswear, childrenswear, nightwear, lingerie and shoes. A little mix of everything. Evening :D (at least where I am!) Today I went out and treated myself to some new nail polish. I had such a hard time choosing and ruminated over the decision for a good half hour. In the end I walked away with this new beauty. It's a YSL La Laque Couture, in the shade #48 Rose Scabiosa. I had never previously tried any 'luxury' brands of nail polish; instead I bought only what could be found in my local pharmacy stores (drugstores?), such as Barry M etc. If all other, similar, brands are like this one then I can see what all the hype is about.  The brush is similar to that of the Bourjois 1 Seconde Nail Enamel, as they both fan out which gives great nail coverage. I'm kinda wanting to just wanting to create Disney looks from clothing, makeup and jewelry that's out now. This is a formal Mother Gothel look, from the movie Tangled. I based the look on the burgundy of her dress, and the black of the hair. One of my favorite items in the collage is the bottle of Poison by Dior. Mother Gothel's relationship could be defined by the word poison, so I felt that it suited. Louise x  x
