Product Empties | Would I Repurchase?

Being beauty obsessed, it's very rare I finish up a product. Whenever I see my empties bag getting fuller I feel so accomplished. For the past six months, I have been amassing all of the products that I've either finished or have gotten well past their expiration date. Not committing to a full declutter, but if I go to use a product and it seems 'off', I'll toss it in by empties bag. My largest struggle with this is that I'm always forgetting to pop my products in the bag. I share a bathroom, so I'll often find products that should be in my empties bag, in the bin. I need to get better about putting them straight in the bag.

A Year of Beauty 2016

Happy New Year Everyone! I sincerely hope that it was a good one. I was very boring this year spending it at home with my family; movies, disney board games and nibbles can compare to nothing else. However, with 2016 now in the past, I thought I'd make my first post of the new year a beauty round up. The past year has been full of new beauty discoveries, some I'm still using and others I found to be a passing fad.

Urban Decay Vice Lipstick in Big Bang (+ matching lipliner!)

Have you ever just looked at a lipstick and thought, 'You're so unwearable but I must have you in my collection'? Yeah. We have all been there, whether it's that totally one trend black lippie or a big, bold navy blue. Well I hadn't, not until I met my match last week.  I was browsing the stand for Urban Decay's new collection of Vice lipsticks. Now they are not totally new to me, they were in Sephora when I was in America at June, but I had never had enough time just to browse over all the new colours. I mean, there are a HUNDRED new shades! Needless to say, after a solid half an hour of studying all the shades, I flounced into my University lecture with two new impulse buys. All because I have no self control. I may have to start walking the long route to class and avoiding Debenhams altogether.

August Monthly Favourites

August has gone by in such a flash, I cannot believe I go into the final year of my Psychology degree in two weeks. Where has all the time gone? I feel like I say that every month but I honestly feel like my life is on fast forward right now. You might have noticed that I have not been posting as regularly as I usually do. That's because I am trying to amass a large stockpile of scheduled post for when University starts back. With this being my final year I expect to get really busy with lectures and time in the research labs. So hopefully, starting from next week I can get back to my two-three times a week upload schedule! With all that said and done, here is my August Monthly Favourites!

Gwen Stefani x Urban Decay Palette

I wasn't really going to purchase this, at the time, but when I went shopping after Christmas they only had the five left in my local Debenhams. I was pushed into buying this instead of the original Naked palette with phrases such as 'limited edition' and 'you can get the Naked palette anytime!"  The palette itself feels very sturdy, like I could take it travelling and not have to worry about any of the shadows smashing. The golden edging detail with the black polka dots make the palette look quite edgy and modern. The inside reveals a nice oversized mirror with a cute little quote in the corner. There are fifteen eyeshadows in total; the majority are a warm neutral tone but there are a few pops of colour. The first five shadows are: Blonde, Bathwater, Skimp, Steady and Punk. Blonde is a very pale beige shade with a pinkish iridescent shimmer to it. With it being so pale I really had to dig my brush into it to achieve any type of pigmentation...

New SS16 Trends at #FashionLive!

On Saturday, I had the honour of attending the Fashion Live! event at my local shopping centre as a blogger. This was my first event as a blogger, and I have to say: what an experience! At the event there was both fashion masterclasses and beauty demonstrations. I was only able to attend of a short time, due to a prior engagement, but I was so sad to leave.

February Monthly Favourites

Celebrate Body Lotion There has been such a cold snap hovering over Scotland right now, and my skin has certainly been feeling it. Celebrate has been helping a lot right now. It's not too strongly fragranced, but is super-moisturising.

January Favourites

Where has January went!? Life is moving honestly too fast; let's slow down and take a moment. The next two months are the  busiest part of my year so please forgive any dips in activity during it. My musical society is performing the European Premier of Heathers the Musical; it has never been performed anywhere in Europe yet. So, basically, will becoming very busy soon with rehearsals, tracking down costumes, ticket sales, more rehearsals, etc. Any way, back on topic and onto my January favourites!

Makeup Revolution Pro Fix Spray

Rarely do I spend such a great amount of time out that I do need to fix my makeup. Nor do I ever think about touching up any of my makeup other than my lips.  Throughout a typical day I could only say that I notice my foundation fading.  I'm back at Uni now, which means I can spend up to 12 hours out and about. I also have more special night events to attend this semester which will require a more long lasting look.

Holiday Makeup

I know lots of people have already done their version of this post since summer is nearing it's end, but I still have to go on holiday. I seem to have left my summer holiday until the last possible moment.  As I'm going to Florida, I have been given quite a high luggage allowance, but I plan on bringing back A LOT! This means that I have to be rather scrimping with what goes in as too much will leave little space to bring back. I probably still have too much!

The King of Palettes - Urban Decay Vice 3

One of the shining jewels in my makeup collection is this amazing palette, the Urban Decay Vice 3. It is one of the most colourful and versatile palettes that I own, which warrants it it's own blog post!

Get Ready with me: Summer Party

I thought I'd do another get ready with me; the first for this year! I was going to an outdoorsy summer party which I thought would be a fun 'subject', as such. I kept my face makeup very simple: L'Oreal True Match foundation; Makeup Revolution Blushing Heart Blusher; Essence Make Brows Wow! Kit; Benefit Boi-ing concealer, and bareMinerals Mineral Veil. The look was finishes with my MAC cremesheen lipstick in Creme Cup; which was very subtle as to now drag attention from they eyes.

March Cohorted Beauty Box

I unfortunately missed out on the success that was Cohorted's first beauty box last month, so I was super excited to see what was to be included in this months! I had super high expectations for Cohorted's beauty boxes. They are an online retailer which feature discounts on big brand makeup, such as: MAC, Chanel, Urban Decay etc. From the beginning, I knew that they had the potential to have amazing boxes, but my question was; would they live up to my expectations?

Get the Disney Look: Anna

Alexander McQueen blue corset , £1,545 / Monsoon black ankle boots , £93 / Niclaire black leather purse , £130 / Tiffany & Co. 18k earrings , £930 / MARC BY MARC JACOBS gold initial jewelry , £150 / Heart pendant necklace , £33 / Urban Decay lipstick , £15 Another Disney post!! These make me sooo excited for Disney World in August. I decided to do a casual Anna style, from the hit movie that everybody loves 'Frozen'. Did everyone hear that a Frozen short 'Frozen Fever' is to sow before the new live action Cinderella movie in March.

What's in my makeup bag?

The real question should be what's NOT in my makeup bag. Haha! I quite literally carry all my everyday makeup in this bag. It's just a large cute floral patterned bag from Primark. It stays on top of my Ikea nine drawers and holds all my everyday makeup. It's so much easier to reach for the bag instead of rooting through my drawers searching for everything.

My Favourites of 2014

Hey guys! Not the post I expected to me posting today, but I found this in my queue. It was supposed to be automatically posted on the 2nd but for some reason it has not. It's technically only a few days late.  I'd like to use this post to introduce you to what I chose as my favourite products of 2014. I chose a range of beauty/skincare products instead of just sticking to only makeup. I thought it allowed for a more rounded off look at my favourites instead of being 'OH! I like all these lipsticks and...' I hope you enjoy!

Naked 2: Swatches and Review

Good Afternoon So one of the gifts I received at Christmas was the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette. It cost me £37, which is a substantial amount of money but I feel that it's a good investment for the future. As I am still very much considered a makeup 'newbie' I was not quite sure of the difference between the three palettes. An incredibly helpful Urban Decay representative took me aside an explained them throughly before suggesting that my pale skintone suited the Naked 2 more.
