The Body Shop Hand Cleanse Gel Review

image

In August it was my birthday, and with it came the renowned (to me) free birthday gift from The Body Shop. Now, I'm ashamed to admit that is the only time I go there, which is weird because everything smells divine and I totally agree with their policies (against animal testing etc). Every year I say to myself that I'll become a regular, yet I never do.

Yet, I'm now getting carried away. One of the things I bought was the Hand Cleanse Gel, in the scent of Mango. Being a student, I find that Universities are one of the places were illness spread easily (and I'm extra susceptible).

There is no mention on the packaging about what percentage of bacteria it kills off but the smell is fantastic. I've had friends practically inhaling my hands because they smell that great. It's travel sized as well which makes it super easy to just throw into your handbag as you rush out the door.

I would undoubtedly recommend this product to absolutely everyone, even if you don't like Mango as it comes in other scents, such as coconut, strawberry and satsuma etc. They are a deal at £2.50 from any The Body Shop, or online at thebodyshop.co.uk.

MAC: Fraud or Not?

It's getting to the time of year when  people start gathering together all there gifts in the rush to the holiday season. They start trying to get the best gifts possible for the best price they can. Unfortunately that leaves them vulnerable for people to take advantage of them. The most common form of this is through the use of counterfeit goods.  Recently a MAC lipstick was purchased for me, as a Christmas gift, from eBay. When I learned of it I was immediately sceptical and dubious of how genuine it was; I like to research into the item and view the pictures available myself. When I checked the listing, the lipstick was listed as 'MAC Amplified Creme Lipstick'. Upon looking at the details and the images available, I noticed that there were very few specifics and one general image of the lipstick with the lid off. I immediately wrote to the seller asking for pictures of the bottom label on the box and the lipstick tube (Well as details such as finish and shade). I kn

Totally Fabby MAC Lipstick!

I'm in the middle of shopping for new products; sort of preparing for the transition from winter to spring. Instead of picking up deep burgundies and warm chocolates, I have started to pick up pastel pinks and vanillas. I cannot wait of the warmer weather to roll in.  MAC frost lipstick in the shade Fabby was one of those new seasonal additions I picked up recently. Fabby is a really muted rosy pink shade with a frost finish. The draw point, for me, is the frost sheen gives kind of a golden overlay to the lips. The golden tone just adds an extra dimension, and helps brighten up any makeup look.  For being a frost finish, the colour pigmentation is quite opaque with a single swipe. The texture is not that creamy, and I don't mean that in a bad way. I'd describe it more as very similar to that of a MAC matte finish; creamy and not glossy. I feel that Fabby is one of MACs more overlooked shades; passed over in favour of the more hyped about lipstic

Barry M Colour Changing Lip Paint in Neptune

Remember way, way back, back to the very beginning of my blog. One of the very first products that I reviewed was the Barry M Lip Paint in the shade Genie. For those who don't know, Genie is an unusual colour changing lipstick. While it looks green in the tube, it turns a shade of pink on the lips that is supposed to be different for each person. It is supposed to be a result of the lipstick reacting to the alkaline level of the lips.
